Myth over Science: South African rhinos pay the price of new cancer myths

Sad news: After the population of South African rhinos started to recover, they are now hunted again to the brink of extinction. Why the sudden change? People in Vietnam started to believe in the myth that drinking crushed rhino horn will cure cancer. This belief created a demand for rhino horn that is now threatening to kill off the remaining South African rhinos.
It is sad that humans' belief in myth instead of science can leads to such dear consequences for endangered wildlife.
